Seems like the road ahead won't be very smooth for Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora. The newest lovebirds in the tinsel town don't hesitate from making frequent public appearances together and if sources are to believe they're quite serious about each other. While Malaika refutes to acknowledge her relationship with the Gunday actor, he has at least revealed his relationship status as 'taken'. We even heard reports about them tying the knot in future but his cousin, Sonam Kapoor is not really happy about it. According to a report in IB Times, Sonam is currently sharing cold vibes with Malaika and has prompted Arjun to not get married to her. And not just Sonam but even his father, Boney Kapoor and sister, Anshula Kapoor are against their union. The only members supporting the actor's decision are Sanjay Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor. The Prem Ratan Dhan Payo actress had a bitter experience with Malaika some years ago and the episode is still very fresh in her mind.

A couple of years back, Malaika was in very high spirits at Manish Malhotra's 50th birthday bash hosted by Karan Johar. And according to reports in SpotboyE then Sonam had extended a helping hand to her. "Sonam tried to hold Malaika, but Malaika told her in no uncertain terms to back off. Malaika was in no mood to listen to anybody. She told Sonam that she will manage her own self. At this point, Karan Johar (who had hosted the party) and Manish came forward and took Malaika inside," said a source close to the portal.
